Stomach Bug!

How could two precious little girls bring such a terrible stomach bug into our house?  We don't know where they got it, but they have shared it with TOO MANY people!

London started saying her tummy hurt around 8:30 Monday night, and we knew she was serious when she said she didn't want a snack before bed.  This girl never turns down a snack!  Thirty minutes later it was confirmed, and we have the stained pink carpet to show for it.  She threw up ten times that night and the next morning, and Marley woke up during the night with it too.  We thought the rest of us were in the clear but we were wrong--Justin, Carter, and I all got it on Wednesday.  My mom had been here for the weekend and she got it on Tuesday morning, and Wes came down with it early this morning.  He'll probably blame it on us even though we haven't seen him since last Wednesday!

We are all finally getting our strength back and are all in real clothes and eating real food for the first time in days.  In our 5 1/2 years of having children, we have never experienced this kind of super-bug that flies from person to person with lightning speed, and we hope to never experience it again!

There were times we just had to laugh during this whole thing, because it was either laugh or cry.  We laughed at 4 in the morning when all 5 of us were in our bedroom and Justin said it was like we were on vacation!  (Is that a vacation any of you want to sign up for?)  When London and I went on a ride today, she asked why Carter couldn't come, and I said it was because we needed to make sure he was completely well before he rode in the car.  She said:  "He could bring his bowl."  This made me laugh because we've had bowls all around the house just in case someone didn't make it to the bathroom in time.  I guess she thinks the bowls are part of life now.  And today I'm laughing with joy that God has healed us and we've made some fun (and not-so-fun) memories over the last few days.

Hoping you all stay well and that the super-bug stays far from your house!

Hoping it stays away from me and Hannah. That picture of the girls is precious! Were the cute jammies from Nana and Papaw?

We have a stained pink spot on our carpet, too! Hate to say it...but professional carpet cleaning could't get it out. Good luck with your stain! And, so glad you are all better!

Oh, No! Christie, I am SO SORRY that happened to you guys! I especially hope your mom doesn't "relapse."

Christie,
Wednesday night, Cade said, "Two friends weren't there tonight, Mrs. Christie and Carter." He missed y'all! So sorry to hear y'all have been sick, but glad you could have some laughs during an otherwise yucky time :)
