Kindergarten!

As most of you know, Carter started kindergarten this year.  He is loving it, which means we are all loving it!

Here's a picture of him before school on his first day.

They wear uniforms at his school, except on Fridays, and they can wear a school shirt any day of the week.  Carter is so funny because he wants to wear the same thing each week:  red shirt on Monday, white shirt on Tuesday, blue shirt on Wednesday, school shirt on Thursday, and whatever he picks on Friday.  I figure that's okay because it makes it easy for me to set out his clothes the night before.

We love his sweet teacher.  She loves the kids and is so patient with them.  Here's Carter with her (and the class guinea pig, Ethel) at open house:

Last week Carter came home with the news that he was the Star Student for his class for the first six weeks!  Of course we're so proud of him!  We celebrated with an ice cream cake from Marble Slab on Saturday night with Shelly, Wes, and Hannah.

We love you, sweet Carter boy, and even though we miss you while you're gone, we're so excited about what you're learning and who you're becoming!
